Maia + Sam’s wedding was deeply emotive, romantic, and simply beautiful. They chose an artsy venue, Wild Carrot in St. Louis, Missouri that helped make their wedding dreams come true. I hope that if you are planning a wedding, these images will help inspire you!
THE VIBE
The inspiration for the day was to keep it modern, true to the couple, full of special details, and to not take things too seriously. The venue, Wild Carrot, is really unique. There's a focus on design, and throughout the space there were 5+ vignettes featuring different styles: MCM, Victorian, Scandinavian, etc... Which I of course utilized for photo spots! The space was open concept, with exposed brick for an industrial look. There was a loft upstairs, overlooking where the ceremony was held. Outside, there was a beautiful white blank slate, brick exterior with a garage door. Across from it was a garden lawn where you have the option for an outdoor ceremony. (It was a hot day in STL so my couple opted indoors!) One of my favorite details of the venue was at the entrance doors. They had movie poster displays (for you to add your own photos for a personal touch on their space!) It really gave indie film vibes.
THE COUPLE
This sweet couple dated long distance for a period of time and were eager to finally tie the knot. I feel that this wedding actually showcases who Maia and Sam are together. The gallery is full of each of their personalities, laced with Maia's love for the details and Sam's ability to get the party started.
There were so many incredible moments from this day and I hope you’re inspired by the few that are shared here. If you want to connect and know how I could be a part of documenting your special day as your wedding photographer, reach out here!
