Chase + Jill's Rustic/Modern Wedding at the Wilds Venue

Jill and Chase are the sweetest, most down-to-earth couple, and every part of their wedding day reflected that: from the subtle green backgrounds and fully-stocked dessert table (yum) to the relaxed feel of the entire day. They got married on a beautiful summer day in Bloomington, Indiana, at the Wilds Wedding Venue, which is surrounded by acres of green and just glows in the summer.

Jill looked stunning in her elegant dress, and the guys’ cream-colored suits made the summery colors in their florals pop. I loved all of the details in their day—take a look especially at the colorful lining and sweet embroidered message on the inside of Chase’s suit jacket.

Jill and Chase saved their first look for their wedding ceremony, which meant that we shot their bride and groom portraits and photos of the bridal party at the beginning of the cocktail hour. They left disposable cameras on the tables for their guests to take photos during this time, which was a fun way for guests to spend a few minutes and made for some sweet memories for the couple to look at later.

A little bit more about the Strothers… this couple met through mutual friends and started to date while they both lived in Bloomington. Jill and Chase are such an endearing couple, and it was so fun to capture their love for each other. Chase is a photographer and designer (check out their wedding invitations), and I was honored that he loved my work and trusted me with capturing their wedding day.

The staff at the Wilds runs like a well-oiled machine, which helped set the calm tone for the day inside of the venue and made things a lot easier for the other amazing vendors I got to work with!
